Home Sweet Home

Finally, home. Finally, internet. Finally, I can fully access it. Internet, Serious Business! But I’m already digressing, first things first. So, yeah what I did, surprise surprise, I now added a poll plugin to my sidebar. I haven’t gotten the time to configure its style yet, I might do that soon enough. Anyway, the first question is about Rule 7.
What is Rule 7? “Thou shalt not downloadeth anime until thy entire series hath been finished”, or something like that. Back in my DC++ days, I used to be a regular of the [AN]Anime Nation hubs (you can visit their page here). There was a whole list of such rules (those are not the general hub rules), of which I only remembered Rule 7. Geez, I miss that place… maybe I should pay them a visit once in a while. I go there once every 6 months… sorry T_T
Anyway, the question is about your anime watching habits: Do you wait for recent episodes weekly or do you collection them until the series is finished, then start watching it in one go? I know that I’m staying true to Rule 7 except for a few exceptions, mostly What about you? Cast your vote!
Also, if you haven’t noticed yet (it’s not important actually) I added a last.fm thingie that shows the last music I’ve been listening to. Some kind of a “Now Playing” tag that people use to spam into IRC channels while noone cares, ne. Only that this little chart is totally unobtrusive. Usually you can guess what series I am watching by looking at my listening habits, because once I’m hooked on something I’m quite obsessed over it. And right now it’s only Gundam SEED/Destiny music. Nyu… Speaking of which, I watched a bunch of episodes today (ahaha Rule 7 XD), but it’s quite late right now, I’ll comment about them tomorrow.
I am now home indeed, but only for 1 day though. I’ll already need to return to the dorm tomorrow evening, because I need to study *cough* for my upcoming chemistry “bilan” test paper on monday, it’s some sort of recapitulation test about the whole semester. But, thanks to that test last monday (which was mainly to grant us a chance to get our bad grades up, including mine :P) I already know most of that stuff… Which doesn’t mean I should slack off though. A bit more than 2 weeks to go…. With those internet problems at dorm, it’s going to be hell.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I mentioned in my WP upgrade post that I was having issues with internet at dorm. Well, after several discussions with that ingenious “admin” at dorm, nothing could have been done. He did add a bunch of IPs to the proxy whitelist, ports stuff everything but those FTP issues remained. Well no, it’s not the proxy’s fault. As Maestro told me in a mail, it might very well could be the router’s fault. Indeed, Google returns me similar issues on Netgear routers… Well imagine what, the dorm apparently has a Netgear router. I told the admin to restart it, sometimes that does the trick, but that didn’t help. Told him to check some settings about Telnet/FTP connections, he told me he didn’t know how to handle that and that he didn’t do anything to the router anyways. Last option would be a firmware upgrade… uhhhh what? Better not let him do that. Pfff… Professionalism at its best. This sucks.
Maybe I should start using those CGI FTP scripts on the net, but who tells me they are secure…. -____- Bah, anyway. I’m going to sleep now, my average sleep time per day doesn’t even reach 5 hours, so yeah I need…. rest…. Tomorrow… Gun…dam……..
