Hmm… - Gundam SEED Destiny 29-32

Looking back on these few episodes, I feel like things are getting massively rushed. Hmm… The rumors won’t go away, will the end suck, will it not suck…? I just hope this will not worsen in the next episodes. Caution, Spoilers, etc.
So… Out of the many possibilities I mentioned in my earlier full Gundam entry, I was right on the spot with Shinn returning Stellar to the Earth Forces. Fairly understandable, he doesn’t want to let her suffer anymore, let alone become ZAFT’s guinea pig. However, the conditions under which he handed her over to Neo are outright scandalous. There’s absolutely no way that some reckless guy like him would even consider taking such a childish promise serious!! “Take her to a kind world, far away from war!” Oh my gosh. Shinn’s such a fool. He should fall off a cliff and die, twice.
Look what happened to that promise. Right as they arrive at their base in Russia or northern Europe, Neo entrusts Stellar the Destroy. What. A. Badass. Machine. It’s so huge and powerful, it easily wipes out entire cities (lol Berlin), and can handle multiple enemies at once. It would be invincible - if only there was a more capable pilot to handle such a weapon. A hysteric girl like Stellar is no match to the likes of Kira.
So. Shinn and Kira attack the Destroy, and Neo whirs around like a bee, eventually telling Shinn that he’s fighting against Stellar. Reaction? None. All he does is a huge O______O, doesn’t attack Neo for breaking his “genuine” promise. In the meantime, Neo is taking care of. Whom is he shot by? Saa, the Archangel, I supposed? Murrue looked so dumbfounded I didn’t think she’d carry out that request. Oh well, Neo crashes down, SURVIVES, and of course his mask dropped so Murrue could take a very close look at his face. As I could have predicted from the many opening spoilers, they both seem to know each other. Once again I’ll mention my hypothesis that he might be her old lover that apparently died on the battlefield. There’s no other explanation to it, unless it’s yet another made up story.
Next victim. Ah no, a casualty. Dore dore? Ohh, it’s Sting… Well, yeah. After Auel, he’s the next dead from that “Extended” squad, this time leaving Stellar alone. You know what surprises me is that this time, Sting, who always survived any of Shinn’s and Athrun’s attacks, gets taken out by the clearly inferior Murasame, many of which he killed en masse previously. I find that quite interesting, finally it’s not always our main heroes getting the important kills.
But we can’t leave Stellar alone by herself… Can we? She can’t do much anymore, except following the path of the likes of her. Yes, Stellar must die. Have some nekkid love scene first.

She really looks like she has calmed down, but after seeing the Freedom, she ticks off, tries shooting off her main cannon, which Kira prevents by destroying the weapon. Explosion, Stellar’s done for. But before she dies. Shinn can take her in his arms one more time. WHAT?? “Shinn…. suki?” A dork like that?? Oh well. Both were dorks, yeah, made for each other indeed. What nonsense… Well, at first watch, the whole thing was quite enjoyable, and there was a tragic mood indeed… unless THAT happened. I did post that pic already in an earlier blog entry, but I’ll just show it again for the lulz.

Madness? This is STELLAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!
Ridiculous. Shoop da woop, I came, “This was my face when I saw Gundam SEED Destiny”, etc. That’s really something. Ah, I already said everything I had to say about this picture, no need to reiterate it. Fact is, Shinn will now become more emo than ever. I guarantee it! (arr enough of those memes) Crraaaawling iiin my skiiiiin…… (I bet he won’t like the new Linkin Park CD, softened mainstream crap duh)
As always, here’s the million dollar question: What next? We’re running out of enemies… at least on the Earth Force’s side! Auel, Sting and Stellar are dead (presumably). Only threat left would be Neo… unless there are new main baddies on their way to the battlefield. Again three kids, piloting bad ass mechas? Or the people pulling the strings behind the scenes poking their nose out? Uhh… So unpredictable. But it doesn’t necessarily have to be the Earth Forces. I think that Shinn will start hunting down the Kira for killing the only person ever that dared to confess to him. Athrun, who has been pwned badly by Kira as well, might feel the same. Who knows, maybe it will be Minerva vs. Archangel! But I’m pretty sure that there will be some sort of a common enemy in the end that will force both ships to cooperate. As always, we’ll see. I just hope they’re not going to rush the story, there still are 18 episodes left. And, the specials… hmm…
