Today’s menu: Swiss cheese.
I don’t know why, but for some reason I spent most of the time laughing throughout the episode. I think it’s just my current state of fatigue; I had less than eight hours of sleep these past two days because I had to prepare both a preparation and a test today… both of which I think I quite failed but that’s not the point here.
After writing the entry, I now wonder why I even laughed in the first place, it’s quite serious business x_x
Gah, I’m growing tired of those summaries again. Since I’m a bit tired now, I’ll just get on to the main points ^^
Something which immediately comes into my mind is… ARGH, Firo you bastard!!! Getting all lovey-dovey with Ennis, I’m so jealous! Gosh, just imagine Ennis cosplaying as Hisui… KYAAAA~~ *screams like a rabid fangirl*
Well yeah, her apathic characteristic somewhat reminded me of Hisui, so I couldn’t help it XD
But anyway, in this picture there was something in Ennis’ appearance that vaguely resembles Yoshitoshi ABe’s style. Don’t you think so?

Awww…….. *melts*
Moving on to her master, Szilard Quates. Sure, he wants more knowledge, he’s like a drug addict, he’s a… knowledge addict! Once you start you cannot stop, they say – I wish I could learn like that! That would save me sooooooooo much time. But slowly but surely, I can see Szilard’s head inflate. I almost fear it will blow up sometime!
…let’s be serious now. The question I kept asking myself all along was, he has now completed the Cure-All elixir, so why would he still be after Maiza?
I don’t know if I can understand that man’s thought logic. Let’s assume he wants to protect his own life and acquired knowledge, and thus follows an “eat or be eaten” tactic to eat all of the Immortals. If that was the case, why did he recreate the Cure-All Elixir? To boast about his achievement, no more no less? Granted, he might want to use it on random, so he can have new prey to “eat”, but then he might want to use his incomplete one, to avoid the danger of being eaten himself, no? Or perhaps he is bored, and wants to take that risk… Must be boring, living for 200 years, yeah. But Maiza himself has around the same age, which raises the question… why won’t HE just eat that old geezer and just end it all? Saa… All I know is that Quates isn’t eating Maiza yet, once again… why?
To top this myriad of questions off, Luck Gandor was to go upstairs. Following my guess in episode 7, he is the demon that Maiza summoned in 1711… So what is he going to do?

Firo, I officially hate you. D:
A bit into the future, in the year 1931. The way how Rail Tracer – excuse me, Claire – okay okay, Vino is presented to the viewer. I think it is very disturbing how he appears at the same moment Czeslaw is thinking about the other Immortal.
Up to now, most hints almost lead us to think that the person Czeslaw is searching for is Claire Stanfield. Indeed, his skills are so superhuman that one cannot believe that he could have survived any of his killing sprees - but, remember two episodes back: we could see Vino’s past. He can not possibly be an Immortal since he seems to have aged, and as far as the story of his life has been shown, there were no indications at all that he had been in touch with any kind of elixir. He might have gotten in touch with some incomplete elixir at some later period though, but then, why does Czeslaw NOT tell his real name to Vino? This could be proof enough to completely exclude the immortality hypothesis.
However. How come Vino knows Czeslaw’s full name? As far as I can remember, the boy didn’t tell his name elsewhere than in the dining car. Has Vino been there at that time? I don’t know, I do not think I have seen him there. Have you?
Either way, I found it quite funny how Czes lists up a few of the things his brother had done to him. Incandescent nails right into the eye, what eye candy! Erm… or an acid bath, splish splash! ,,,or thrown into a fireplace alive! He’s on fire! (I’m so tasteless uh)
He’s quite unlucky to have run into Vino though; apparently he knows how to torture someone badly. Just imagine Ladd finding out that Czeslaw is immortal… muhaha, he would never stop trying to kill him!

You can squeeze him all you want, he’ll still laugh at you
It actually is the same reason why Ladd is hot for killing Huey now; and that in turn makes Chane mad. No wonder she reacts very strongly to Ladd’s provocations, he’s talking about her father after all. What I found quite hilarious though is Vino’s sudden apparition behind Chane, holding the knife she wanted to attack Ladd with. Why, he just goes like “Don’t make holes into the conductor’s room, you grazed my ears!” Hahaha! And after that he simply walks away, so awesome!
Well he does then get involved real quickly in the fight, totally confident of victory as always. And that pisses Ladd off big time now, especially because Vino himself proclaims that he cannot die.
“After all, the world is mine!” …what the hell? What does that mean? Extravagant megalomania or truth? If it was the latter… I’d really want to know why. Gah, there are so many things I haven’t mentioned yet (Dallas, Nice, et al) but that I want to know badly. And amidst of this confusion, I totally forgot that we are already approaching the end of this series! Next episode, last but one, I say!
And as always, here’s the timeline (2.46 MB .jpg - next time I will split the image, because 6000px)! Soon, the three years will be joined together…

Since Firo has stolen Ennis from me, I’ll take Chane then. But hey, I’m not disappointed at all :3
