Happy birthday to me T_T

Well, it’s that time of the year again, I guess. ^^

Yeah, the 21st of December is my birthday, today for the 21st time.

Here comes the obvious question: How do I feel? Well, I have very mixed feelings right now. How should I put it… well, tomorrow is already the last day of the term, so I think I should be happy… to prepare for the exams in January. Not that those are that difficult, but still a huge bother. On top of that, I might perhaps get the results from the Japanese Embassy concerning the scholarship by the end of the year, blabla. I am quite eager but also anxious to know about that… if positive, the following year will be only excitement, if negative, well shit happens.

In retrospective, also in memory of my soon elapsed 20th year of my life, I have had a metric fuckton of good things that happened in my life, of which I will list but only very few key events:

- In January, I created this blog. Not that I always took good care of it, but I invested lots of effort on customizing and improving it and at least attempting to establish myself in the existing blogosphere… which I utterly failed up to now. Well, perhaps “dedication” and “perseveration” might be the key words I might try to improve during the next year.
- In May, I got my Hisui figurine (life 10UP)
- In June, I passed my finals and graduated from secondary school.
- In September, I got my Hisui towel (life 9001UP)
- In December, I finally got a new phone (to replace my old Nokia) and an iPod (to replace my rusty Discman…)

And this nekomimi girl would make my bday perfect. Wishful thinking… T_T

I am sure I forgot a lot of other important things. There were a lot of minor things that beefed up my life in the meantime, but then again, a lot of negative things spawned into it as well, and the most important… “vice”, if I may call it, was procrastination. Indeed, I tried too hard during the entire course of this year. Once again linked to this blog, I had so many good intentions and plans I wanted to realize: watching anime, blogging, translating, making wallpapers, etc.

Yeah, it’s been almost one year since I last completed a wallpaper (out of 10 different projects), over one year since I last translated an anime episode (although I often did some bits for myself), I never really got back into anime (very often only one series at a time), etc etc.
But you know, every time I tried to start one of these projects, I lost the motivation very quickly and started doing other things… the main source of distraction being Pangya I guess. Also, a lot of family problems often did not help my motivation at all; actually, it only made it worse. But that’s irrelevant now, and I digress anyway.

So anyway, I will try to improve a lot of things in future, and with the year 2007 already coming to an end, I will soon make my resolutions clear for the coming year.

On that reminds me, in some countries, turning 21 is the time when you become ‘legal’. Too bad, in Luxembourg I was already legal with 18 :P

Anyway, I think that should be it. As I said, I still to have uni today so I will already need to stop here (tl;dr already?), and go to sleep. Tomorrow I’ll bring a self-made brownie to school, I hope everyone will survive that XD But in the evening I think I will have to celebrate my bday alone, because no friends in close neighborhood to celebrate with, and others go celebrate the end of the term in the south…

Perhaps I might not have made so much of an impression to many people as other “famous” “personalities” on the close blogosphere (yeah sarcasm IS implied and intended, I hope you know who you are), but perhaps today I might be granted the attention I never had yet: lots of heart-warming comments and bday gifts (LOL! I don’t even get gifts IRL…)(or if you’re very lazy (like me probably, yeah), just drop me an advice on which series to pick up next season…).
