Boredom turned into interest. Interest turned into curiosity. And curiosity, as goes the saying, killed the cat - me.

I have to admit, I found myself rather bored at the beginning of Geass R2. I also have to admit that my anime hiatus after ARIA had prevented me from fully enjoying anything else that’s not ARIA or, at the very least, Slice of Life series. And so it happened that between watching the first and the second episode, a little bit over three months have passed. What I remembered from the first episode? Uh, nothing much, except:

and soft. Perfect!

You know my tastes. Not too much of it, not too focused on it, that’s what I like. Of course, I’m talking about fanservice. Episode 1 almost gave me the impression that the studio behind Geass was playing the “butt and cleavage”-card in order to compensate for the long wait of the second series.
Throughout the series, I found that they were particularly fond of Kallen’s splendid ass, always showing her rear as she leans forward in her Guren Mk xyfgsfds ver.2 revision B0772 alpha-5. Though, we could also enjoy the gorgeous curves of Shirley, Villetta, C.C., etc etc.

Anywho, it occurred yesterday, during a phase of extreme boredom, that I resumed watching Geass, not only because of this irrationality of boredom, but also because of numerous BAWWings and YIFFings on the most recent episode, number 13. And right now, I’ve reached that point too, but the only thing I’ll say about the end of episode 13 is that it was foreseeable, inevitable and necessary.

But hey who cares! Have some sexy oppai girls.

So. I won’t go into details, I’m not in a spoiling mood right now (even though I do have to take my revenge on Extrange someday :P prepare yourself, bastard) but I found that up until now, things have been moving quite randomly within Code Geass. True, it remained a strategical and psychological game between Zero and Britannia, and in this giant game of Chess, even more factions and people are being involved as time passes. I guess that’s obvious for the average viewer, no need to develop this idea any further.

But there are quite a few passages that seem rushed and pretty much unclear, like, Rolo’s (and subsequently, Villetta’s) sudden change of heart, the many hazy developments with the Chinese Confederation (especially Zero vs that “Shinku” guy), Nunnally’s decision, blabla and especially the last episode. Lulu sure had everything already planned out, great! As expected from him, to take Orange down as soon as he is about to do a triumphant comeback… not. And when there’s no war to wage our lives on, we might as well return to the Academy and enjoy some random moments with rather silly events and contests!
Oh, and how can you get over 9000 (srsly: over one million) people to dress up as Zero? And how the heck can you create all of those dresses at once? Did they plunder Zero’s wardrobe or what?!?

I started liking Sayoko for some reason, because she’s a maid and think I have a freakin’ maid fetish. Or rather, since I love Hisui, I find Sayoko’s apathy sometimes pretty familiar. Figures. (You don’t know Hisui? Blasphemy, madness! Go play Tsukihime you ignorant card.) But I’m glad she didn’t die. :D

*sigh* For some reason, I have nothing much else to say about Geass R2 so far. Sure, it has become a pretty interesting watch, but… it lacks emotions, it lacks intensity, it lacks consistence. The plot twists aren’t as spectacular as they were in Season 1, but perhaps they might still be up ahead. I’m eager to know more about how V.V. became the brother (?) of the King, what Lelouch’s mother has done to Orange, and how the entire drama will unfold, now that a certain someone is dead.

But knowing myself, waiting a week for an episode is not really my forte, and I will lose interest in Geass if it doesn’t keep this curiosity of mine up. Perhaps I’ll do it as always, wait until it is finished, then marathon it.

Orange, who suddenly realizes how much he fails at life, almost jumps from the flying gondola, and had it not been for Alicia, it would have led to Orange’s certain death. Eventually, he will be so inspired by Alicia that he creates the Orange Company, trying to regain a name on his own. To be continued.
