Megami Magazine #102 + Megami Creators #13

Megami Magazine #102 + Megami Creators #13

I’ve been getting my Megami Magazines ever since issue #49, but I never felt like displaying them because other people do a much better job scanning all the posters and stuff in the magazine. Now, why would I suddenly show you issue #102 all of a sudden? Because Jlist (most likely erroneously) added another magazine with it, Megami Magazine Creators.

For quite some time now, I noticed those Megami Creators ads in the regular Megami Magazine. And perhaps like me, you’ve always been wondering what those magazines contain, right? Perfect. I’ll show you some of its contents then.

Update: Congrats to anon for finally finding the mistake: It’s obviously issue #102 of Megami Magazine, not #103 (post slug and image filenames will remain 103, lol). I saw that one about a couple of days after the post, but I thought I should just leave that error in the post and wait for some attentive soul to spot it… It took three weeks, guys! At least someone noticed it. Thanks!

Bear with the poor quality of my pictures, I tried my best fixing them >_<
First things first, Megami Magazine poster summary.

Megami Magazine #102 Poster Summary

The usual share of fanservice posters, I prefer obviously the loli ones but shh. If you haven’t noticed yet, you can click on the thumbnails to get a bigger version of the pictures. (I have to admit it’s still pretty small though, hope you don’t strain your eyes too much ;o; )

Here’s the two posters I like best:

To Aru Majutsu no Index poster Kannagi poster

Index and Nagi! Pettankos FTW!

And now for the Megami Creators. It’s quite different from the regular Megami Magazine, as it only contains one B2 poster. As you might have figured from its title, the magazine offers lots of interviews and reference designs/material to both animation and original works. There are also a few novel chapters and even some 4koma.

There are really many cute images inside, but unlike for the regular MM issue, it’s hard to scan them properly because the magazine is hardbound (which is why my hand is visible in all pictures, had to hold the magazine open).

As for the interest value, it really is not very interesting. The Megami Magazine itself isn’t that interesting either, but most people only get it for the posters anyway - Creators offered only one poster. The content might have appealed more to me if I could read Japanese and if I had more interest in those indie works.

At first I thought Jlist had sent it for free because I’ve been with them for over five years. Hah! I just checked their shipping invoice, and had to pay twice as much than usual. This was pretty mean since their shipping fees already aren’t cheap. Wish they had warned me before. Ah well, I hope Jlist won’t send me another issue in two months or they’ll hear from me.

I actually think those indie works look really good. Indie surely, but still very appealing, especially the Girl’s Avenue picture. *_*
