Between FOEs and figurines…

…a pretty shocking but obvious revelation.
At least it’s not about the real srs bsns economy, or else the world would be in pretty bad shape right now.
Hmm. How many excuses have I elaborated during these couple of weeks of inactivity, how many promises broken, how many… ah, screw it. So, just when I thought I wouldn’t play DS anymore, another RPG caught my entire attention: Etrian Odyssey. You know, Saitama Saitama F O E! Eirin Eirin F O E! etc. And I liked it quite a lot, surprisingly - at least it didn’t disappoint me as much as FFT A2. But the 100k ental missions, and floor B27/B28F are pretty tiring. Is there an end in sight? No, because Etrian Odyssey 2 is already queued for playing, and I have Luminous Arc 1 and 2 as well. Plus, Pangya takes a lot of my time now again - in fact, every time there is a down spike in the blog activity chart, Pangya interest goes up again. Shot -30 PW, I’m closing in on my -400 total score goal.
So, what about anime? Another flop, I haven’t caught up to any series yet. Actually, I’d feel worse about it if I was on my computer all the time, but these days my computers are turned off most of the time, because of my DS addiction affliction. I only turn them on for the daily pangya rounds, and then off again. At least my electricity bill will thank me for that.
When will I be active again? As I said above, perhaps not in some time. At least no huge scale spike as in Oct 2008, that’s for sure. Well… considering that my bday is on the 21st and that I want loooots of bday wishes, you can expect at least one post in the next week! Yay~
Enough chatter. Here’s another couple of figurines I got last week:
First one, the Shiki Garannodou PVC figurine by Good Smile Company.
Tried a couple of night shots, there was a beautiful (and huge) full moon out there, but I never got the desired effect. Some pictures would look so much better if the moon wasn’t that overexposed, but then again my camera sucks (as so often is the main excuses here on this blog).
About the figurine itself, it’s really neatly made, except for a little white spot on the hair in the front. I suppose the color got scrubbed off there, or something - it’s not that noticeable though. One more yandere for my collection!
A’ight, next one is Index PVC by Kotobukiya!
Well, I find her much better without the headpiece so there aren’t that many pictures with it. The clothes are relatively easy to take off (there’s even a little instruction sheet) except for the back top piece, it’s hard to take it off because the arms hinder it a little, and there is a very delicate clip on the bottom of it so it takes a while to get it off properly without too many bruises. Index is deliciously flat, and I made sure to take a lot of pictures of her profile. :3
The quality is good, though there were a few bruises here and there. Wish I had some stuff to paint them over, but on second thought no, I would make it worse…
And finally, the hatsune Miku figma by Maxfactory.

![]() Yep, that’s Fujiko’s apple. |
![]() In b4 Miku stole the precious thing. |
I have a relatively small imagination scope (especially at 5 AM, figures) so of course, these pictures are very simple. There are thousands of different possibilities with this figurine-doll, with five interchangeable hand sets, two facial expressions, a microphone, a mic stand and, the mandatory leek - two of them, even! What’s good about this figma (at least) is that the dolljoints are barely visible from a distance, which makes it look closer to a regular PVC figurine.
There are a few flaws though: some hands are too loose (so they often don’t stay in the desired position) and their movement is pretty restricted because of the long sleeves. Also, the two small strands of hair on the back of Miku’s head make it very hard if not impossible to raise her head. I tried to bend them, but they’re quite sturdy. Dunno if I’ll cut them or not.
Either way, I know I’ll be having a lot of fun trying out different poses and angles in the future.

Phantas-Moon, ronery as always. (Also I just noticed, the calendar still shows November.)
And, to make this huge ass post complete, some pics of the Megami Magazine #104 that’s been lying around here for over a week.
It might be the last Megami Magazine I’ll get though, because it’s getting pretty expensive nowadays and I don’t really read it anymore (who does, anyway?). Plus, since I’ll be in Venice starting February, it’d be pointless anyway. It’ll be the end of this 5-year long partnership with Jlist.
All right, I believe that’s all for this time. Don’t forget, my bday will be in less than a week! I’ll post to remind you about it again. [/egocentrism]
(Also, WTF guys? Taiga wins over Minorin in my poll? You are horrible T_T Put up Index poll now, but since I haven’t caught up yet I might have missed a character. Updated with some names I picked up from ANN.)

Ah, I love the kimono of the first figure, and Index loli-loli PANTSU~! haha
Yea, post-revelations are like SHOCKING, hope you at least catch up on series soon, it’s not that tough if you just randomly put on an episode, and then do it again … and again … and again … wheeew.
Anyway, electricity GET!
Yes out world would be in serious trouble if that were our charts lol. Nice shots btw, I love the Shiki Garannodou PVC figurine
