1 Million Hits? Unpossible.

Well, apparently it IS possible. Yay me!
Must’ve happened while I was at that AC/DC concert in Barcelona, heh. (Check my twitter updates for more on that.) I suppose I can celebrate now?
But I won’t go and stroke my e-peen on these obviously bloated figures ruined by spambots, that doesn’t seem appropriate in this time and age where every second shitty macdonaldized blog reaches the same number - but of visits - within two months now.
I won’t give you useless stats either, like how many % use Chrome, Vista and Ritalin to get rid of their troubles. And I won’t also tell you how many crazy “pangya lolicon” “ARIA hentai” (I fucking curse you) and similar tags and google searches this site has seen over time.
At first I thought I’d never make it this far without integrating any kind of trendy aniblogomerates that are out there, and history has shown how often I’ve raged about how poorly I’ve been served fame and recognition on that silver aniblog plate. I don’t even think I’ve actually made it far, hitting 1M after two years probably is just a natural occurrence. But, I do feel (or at least, I HOPE) that amongst those numbers, there are a couple of genuine regulars who do actually read my posts.
I thank everyone who has visited my modest blog ever so silently during its 2+ years of existence, and a big thanks goes out especially to those who were inspired enough to read and comment my often self-overrated posts. Partly obviously boosts my alter ego, but definitely motivates me to write less offensively, and much more intelligently. If this keeps up, I might even expect 20+ commenters a post in… 6 years? Great. And I swear I will be around by then to stultify you if you think this is stupid.
Now, I need some quality plugging on your hueg blogs to get moar hits. 2M in less than a year now, okay?

For someone who’s only hit a third of that in two years, I’d like to think it’s not a commonplace occurrence. Either way, congrats. :3
@TheBigN: Thanks a bunch mate! Crikey, don’t be modest! I’m sure you do get much more than that. I can’t imagine how my stupid posts could attract more attention than anything else out there ;) a third definitely wouldn’t do justice to your blog at all (especially since you got more people writing there too). Or, spambots and crawlers actually do avoid you. :P In any case, thanks again!
One million pageloads… I thought it was one million visitors lol. Congratulations anyways though. It’s curious that you have such a high hits/visits number (around 6 hits per visit from what i can see here). Most anime blogs with public stats and my own gets like 1.5-2 pageviews per visitor.
@TJ: 1 million visitors, haha I’d need to create a very interesting internet persona and create some perverted myth about it so I’d attract more random lechers and bored interNEETs.
Yeah, I don’t know either. I mean right, I’m sure SlimStat most likely registers every single page view anywhere, probably astronomically inflating the figures - in fact, I just checked with Google Analytics (which I set up late December 2007, about a year later than SlimStat), and it says only 160k hits (I don’t know if they exclude spamhits or whatever though). So in effect, extrapolating this number up to the date this blog was created, I’d probably have only something short of 300k in total, with a 1.6 h/v ratio. I have to admit that this would sound a lot more realistic, because I really can’t imagine seeing these figures outnumber TBN’s either.
On the other hand, I’m perfectly fine with Slimstat lying to me. Because as I’ve always said it before, I don’t give a rat’s ass about hits/visits anyway - I only care about comments. If I do care about hits like I seem to be doing today, it’s only to give me some kind of excuse to rightfully bitch about the ridiculously low comment/visitor ratio. ^^ But then again, I’d just need to take a look at the above mentioned figures and realize that almost nobody will read such rants anyway.
So, after a good dose of sarcastic reverse psychology, I now need a round of sleep before tackling that LAN in 12 hours. And you know how it goes, I’ll be away yet again for three days. (sfx: spectators booing) What! I can’t help it. Look at it that way, I might actually be able to find enough dead time being bored and actually watching anime! Because in Barcelona I had absolutely no time to. We’ll see.
I have nothing to watch from the spring season. Good one me! :D
