Yeah, I wonder if I’ll be able to keep it up. Since I’m pretty much bored lately, I can afford to watch those - however, I might not do episodic reviews because (as I said on melative already) it is too much effort for the gratification earned from the little feedback.
(Well, were this blog a more popular one, ne… But oh well. Gotta cope with the role of the underdog a little longer.)

At least I’m glad a couple of people told me that they were trying to find a new series without being massively spoiled, and my first impressions kind of gave them an idea which ones to pick.

Basara - “Oyakatasama!!! ↔ Yukimura!!!” got old fast. The series is plain ridiculous, but Date makes for a humorous watch on my end. The fighting is okay I guess, but it’s not all thrilling since it is also on a ridiculous level.

Shangri-la - after episode 2 or 3 I was just not interested.

Tayutama - not sure what I liked about it, but I watched first two episodes, then sort of grew the backlog. Not really immanent, but I can just lul about it.

Tears - I felt like facepalming at the naivety of the characters (mostly Riannon and Arther), but the Demon guy is actually legit. The powers/fighting is w/e, and it doesn’t feel all that serious at some point.

Valkyria Chronicles - gawd, Alicia is pretty expressive and enjoyable. The action is kind of sucks, and I have no clue about military stuff, but the character chemistry is what attracts me I guess…. also Isara imouto driving a tank, haha.

Wow, that’s a solid number of series to watch.

I gave up on Shangri-La after three episodes. Some people are sticking with it, but I ran out of patience…

Don’t watch Valkyria for the story or the combat since you’ll be disappointed with both. Watch it for Alicia :D.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed myself, but I guess that’s just coincidence that the last letters of the alphabet aren’t served great anime this season.

Glad you picked up Eden and possibly Ristorante as well. :D

This last batch is pretty meh.

But you’ve at least got me interesten in Eden of the East, and Ristorante Paradiso… I’ll pick up the first, as for Ristorante, I’m looking forward to your post about it, if it’s good I’ll pick that one up, too.
