Just arrived at home today was a box from Right Stuf containing the complete Dragon Ball Manga Box Set and Dragon Ball Season 1 Box Set. Dragon Ball is one of the series I grew up on as a child, so both of these were something I was/am looking forward to greatly. I personally find that the original Dragon Ball is superior to the sequels. The main reason is for the comedy, both the manga and anime are genuinely funny. The martial arts is interesting and the series seems just like plain fun.

I’ll start with the Dragon Ball manga box set, which is a nice velcro closing box which contains all 16 volumes. I am very pleased with the quality of box, including the art. It came with a double-sided poster and an insert booklet.

I just started reading the manga, so I’ll have to post my impressions once I am done, all I can say is that it is hilarious!

Next up is the Dragon Ball Season 1 Box Set, to be released by Funimation on September 15, 2009. It contains episodes 1 - 31 on 5 discs.
